Why consistency is harder in visual storytelling
In a novel, a scar on the wrong cheek might go unnoticed; in a comic it's visible in every panel. Outfits, hair, weapons and architecture must stay the same from chapter to chapter. And not only you, but your artist, needs that information at any moment.
Keep visual references inside your records
In yazar.io you can add multiple images to any character, location or item record: the character design, front and side views, outfit variations, different angles of a location. Because the images sit on the same page as the record's profile, the answer to 'what color were this character's eyes?' and the drawing are side by side.
Share with your artist
When you open your book as a Shareable Wiki, your characters, locations and other sections become a read-only web page. With unlisted visibility, only people you give the link to can see it; your artist gets the latest information without creating an account. Your Notes are never included in the wiki, so draft ideas stay with you.
What yazar.io doesn't do
yazar.io is not a script, panel or storyboard tool; you keep writing your page and panel breakdowns in the tool you're used to. yazar.io keeps the world behind the story organized, linked and shareable.
Does my artist need an account?
No. The Shareable Wiki is a read-only web page; anyone with the link can view it without an account.
How many images can I upload?
You get 50 MB of image storage on the free plan and 2 GB on Yazar Pro. If you have lots of reference images, Pro gives you more room.
Can I close the wiki whenever I want?
Yes. You can make the wiki private at any time from Book Settings; once closed, its pages and images become unavailable right away.
