Shareable Wiki Software
When you want to share your novel's universe with readers, translators, or fellow writers, you don't have to build a separate site. The Shareable Wiki is a read-only wiki page generated automatically from the characters, locations, organizations, and other records in your book; it turns on and off per book.
What is the Shareable Wiki?
It's a wiki page generated automatically from your book's records that anyone can read but not edit. You don't write any extra content; the current state of your characters, locations, and other records is what appears on the wiki. The address is built from your username and the book's name (yazar.io/@username/book-name), so you need to set a username.
Visibility options
There are three levels: Private (only you can see it), Unlisted (anyone with the link can see it but it doesn't show in search engines), and Public (findable in search engines). On Yazar Pro you can also protect the Unlisted level with a password. When you make the book private, the images close to access immediately too.
Which sections are shared?
Characters, Locations, Organizations, Lore, Races, Creatures, Items, Spells, Religions, and the Glossary can be shared; the Family Tree can be turned on separately. You choose which sections are visible and you can also hide individual records. Notes are never shared, and the Timeline is not included in the wiki.
Does turning on the wiki cost anything?
No, the Shareable Wiki is included in the permanent free plan too. Only password protection on the Unlisted level is exclusive to Yazar Pro.
Can I hide a single record from the wiki?
Yes. Just as you choose which sections are visible, you can hide individual records from the wiki; a hidden record stays in your panel.
Do the wiki's section names use the names I chose?
Yes, if you renamed sections in Book Settings (for example Power Systems instead of Spells), the same names appear on the wiki.
