A good magic system has rules and costs; tension comes from the reader knowing what magic can and can't do. yazar.io's Spells section lets you keep every spell on its own page with its school, cost, effect and level, and link it to the characters who use it.
Every spell on its own page
In the Spells section every spell is its own record, with ready-made profile fields such as School, Cost, Effect and Level. The Level field comes with Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Legendary options. If your system needs something specific (for example 'Required Materials' or 'Forbidden?'), you can add your own fields.
Rules and limits live in Lore
Keep the general rules, source and limits of magic in Lore records: where does magic come from, who can use it, what does overuse cost? As long as individual spells follow these rules, the system stays consistent; writing a rule once and coming back to it for every spell prevents contradictions.
Link spells to those who use them
When you type @SpellName in a character's, organization's or item's description, the link is created automatically and shows up on the spell's page too. The answer to 'who knows this spell?' is always on the spell's page.
Your own naming
If your world calls magic 'the Art', 'Power' or something else, you can rename the Spells section for that book from Book Settings. Your records and links stay exactly as they are.
Is the Spells section on in every book?
Sections suited to your book's genre open automatically. If Spells is off, you can turn it on any time from Book Settings.
How many spells can I create on the free plan?
On the free plan you can create 15 spell records per book; Yazar Pro removes this limit.
Can I share my magic system with readers?
Yes. When you open your book as a Shareable Wiki, the Spells section can be published as read-only too; you choose which sections are visible.
