Can I rename sections to fit my own universe?
Yes. From Book Settings you can rename the sections separately for each book; for example you can rename Spells to Power Systems, or Religions to Cults. Your records and the links between them are kept exactly as they are, only the displayed name changes.
How do I rename a section?
Open Book Settings, type the new name for the section in the section names area, and save. The new name appears in the sidebar, in card lists, in your book's Shareable Wiki, and in the mobile app.
What happens to my existing records?
Nothing. A section name is only a label; your records, profile fields, and the links between them stay as they are.
When is this useful?
When calling magic 'Arts' or races 'Peoples' feels more natural in your world, or when you want to name a section in your universe's own language. It gives a book its own feel without breaking the ready-made structure.
Can I use different section names in different books?
Yes, the setting is per book; one book's section names don't affect your other books.
Does a renamed section change on the Wiki too?
Yes, the custom section names you use are shown the same way to visitors on your Wiki; there's nothing extra to do.
Can I hide a section I don't use?
Yes, from the Sections area in Book Settings you can hide sections you don't use and change their order. Hiding a section doesn't delete its records, it only removes it from the menu.
