What can I organize in yazar.io?
You can organize your characters, locations, organizations, world rules, races, creatures, items, spells, beliefs, and terms unique to your story. You can also manage your notes, timeline, family tree, and the fields you use in each section.
Eleven complete entity types
The book sections are: Characters, Locations, Organizations, Lore / World Rules, Races, Creatures, Items, Spells, Beliefs, and Glossary - they all share the same underlying engine, so profile fields and the linking mechanic behave consistently across every one of them.
Alongside those, there's an Overview (a summary of your world), a Family Tree (drag-and-drop), Notes (a sticky-note board), and a Timeline (free-form, no calendar) - each with its own logic, all tied to the same book.
You choose which sections are open
When you create a book, the sections relevant to the genre you pick open automatically (a fantasy novel gets Races/Spells suggested, for example) - but nothing is mandatory. You can hide any section from Book Settings, or turn it back on later.
Do I have to use every section?
No. Some sections get suggested automatically based on your book's genre, but none of them are required - you can hide any section you don't use from Book Settings.
Can I add a brand-new section type myself?
No, the eleven existing entity types are fixed. But you can add your own custom fields to any type's profile - see "Can I decide the fields for each book myself?".
