How does worldbuilding work in yazar.io?

Worldbuilding in yazar.io means filling in ready-made sections - Characters, Locations, Organizations, Lore - and linking them with @Name. There's no separate 'worldbuilding mode' - every section shares the same engine, and links work automatically in both directions.

Which sections do you use to build a world?

When you create a book, the sections that fit its genre (Characters, Locations, Organizations, Lore, Races, Creatures, Items, Spells, Beliefs, Glossary) open automatically - all of them share the same engine, only the type changes. Every entity gets a profile (name, summary, custom fields) and a rich text body.

How do sections link to each other?

Type @Name inside any entity's body text and that link is created automatically - it shows up both on that page and on the other side (say, in a location's Linked Pages section). For structural ties like family, ownership, or membership, you can also add ready-made or custom relation fields from Field Templates - those work the same two-way way too.

Where do you start building a world?

There's no fixed order - some writers start with Characters, others with Lore/world rules. None of the fields are required; fill in as much as you need and expand the rest as the story moves forward.

Do I need to fill in every field before I start worldbuilding?

No - none of the fields are required. Fill in only what you need and expand the rest as the story moves forward.

How many entities can I create on the free plan?

On the free plan you can create 15 entities per book per type (say, 15 characters, plus 15 locations); Yazar Pro shows this limit as effectively unlimited.

Can I reuse the same world across multiple books?

No, there's no automatic sharing between books right now - each book is its own independent workspace, so you'd need to carry character/location information over by hand.
