Can I decide the fields for each book myself?
Yes. You can decide what information appears in the character, location, and other sections through Field Templates. You can use the built-in fields or create new ones specific to your story; changes you make to a template don't break the records you've already created.
How Field Templates work
Every book picks its own default profile template for each entity type - you decide which fields show up automatically on a character's profile (age, occupation, eye color, and so on). You can pick from the built-in field sets or define a brand-new field specific to your story.
Even if you change a template later, the information you already entered stays saved on those existing records - the template only decides which fields get shown going forward, it doesn't erase history.
The custom field limit
On top of the built-in fields, you can add up to 20 custom fields per entity - that limit exists to keep a profile readable and manageable, and it leaves plenty of room for most use cases.
Does changing a template break existing records?
No. The information you already entered stays saved on that record's own profile - the template only decides which fields get suggested from now on.
Can different books use different templates?
Yes - Field Templates are set per book, so a change in one book doesn't affect any of your other books.
