Type whatever comes to mind straight into the quick-capture field in Notes; you don't have to pick a title or type. The idea is saved before it slips away, and you organize it later.
Organize by type and status
Give each note a type: Scene Idea, Character Note, Location Note, World Rule, Research Note, Dialogue Idea, Plot Idea, Conflict / Check and more. You can add your own categories too. Mark a note's status as Idea, Developing, Used or To Review to track where each idea stands. Pin important notes and archive the ones you no longer need.
Link to your world
When you type @Name in a note's text, the note is linked automatically to that character, location or other record. You see the linked notes on the character's page, so scattered ideas about a character come together on their own.
Your notes stay private
Your Notes are never included in the Shareable Wiki; even if you share your book with readers, your draft ideas stay with you. Deleted notes stay in Deleted Notes for 30 days and can be restored.
Is there a limit on notes?
Notes are offered as 'Unlimited*' on both plans, subject only to a fair-use threshold.
Can I take notes on my phone too?
Yes, you can add quick notes and edit your notes in the iPhone, iPad and Android app as well.
Can I restore a note I deleted by mistake?
Yes. Deleted notes stay in Deleted Notes for 30 days, and you can restore them during that time.
