Who can see my Shareable Wiki?

You decide. In Book Settings there are three visibility options for your wiki: Private (only you), Unlisted (anyone with the link, but it won't show up on search engines) and Public (everyone, including search engines). You can also protect the wiki with a password. Your Notes are never included in the wiki.

Three visibility options

Private: your book is visible only to you and the wiki isn't published. Unlisted: anyone you give the link to can see the wiki, but it won't show up on search engines like Google; good for sharing with an editor, an artist or your gaming group. Public: everyone can see it and find it on search engines; choose it when you want to introduce your world to readers.

Password protection

You can also protect your wiki with a password. Visitors are asked for the password when they open the page, so even if the link ends up with others, the content only opens for people who know it.

What is never published?

Your Notes are never included in the wiki. You also choose which sections appear on it. When you set the wiki back to Private, its pages and images close to visitors right away.

What do I need to publish a wiki?

You need a username; the wiki is published at an address like yazar.io/@yourusername/book-address.

Do visitors need an account?

No. The wiki is a read-only web page; anyone your visibility setting allows can view it without an account.

Can I change the wiki after publishing?

Yes. Changes in your book show up on the wiki, and you can change the visibility and password from Book Settings at any time.
