Character Image Gallery Software
A character's face, outfits, how they look at different ages, or different angles of a location: visual references are the fastest way to keep a world alive in your mind. In yazar.io you can add multiple images to every character, location and other record, pick one as the main image and adjust the framing of each one separately.
Multiple images per record
You can add multiple images to any record in Characters, Locations, Items and other sections: a portrait, a full-body drawing, outfit variations, mood images. Since the images sit on the same page as the record's profile, references and information are side by side.
Main image and order
Pick any of your images as the main image; it's used on the record's cards and in lists. You can reorder images from the Manage Images screen.
Adjust framing without re-uploading
With Adjust Image you drag and zoom each image to decide which part shows on cards. Each image's framing is independent and you don't need to re-upload; a portrait's face stays centered on the card.
Browse the gallery and share it with readers
On records with multiple images, click the thumbnails to browse the gallery. When you open your book as a Shareable Wiki, visitors can browse the images you've added to a record too. Images look the same in the iPhone, iPad and Android app.
How many images can I upload?
You get 50 MB of image storage on the free plan and 2 GB on Yazar Pro.
Are my images public?
No. Your book images are private and shown only to you; if you open your book as a Shareable Wiki, images of the records included on the wiki are visible to visitors. When you close the wiki, those images become unavailable right away.
Can I change the main image later?
Yes, you can make another image the main one at any time; cards and lists update accordingly.
