Horror fiction depends on its rules staying consistent to build trust or tension in the reader: a threat's weakness, a house's floor plan, a curse's condition. If those rules contradict each other between scenes, the fear falls apart. A writing app's job for this genre is to make sure you don't lose track of the rules and places.
Why does consistency matter so much in horror?
Once a reader learns how a threat works, they start to fear it within those rules. If you write that a monster only attacks at night and then have it attack in daylight in a later chapter, you get a loss of believability instead of tension. A house's room layout, a curse's condition, or what a character knows must not contradict itself either.
How do you record places, threats, and rules?
In the Locations section you can keep separate pages for the house, the town, or the cellar and link which character lives where with relationships. The Creatures section suits the threat's traits, and the Lore section suits the condition of the curse or the supernatural rule as free text; you can look at these rules again while writing.
Clues and the order of events
In horror, when the reader is shown what is critical. You can keep the order of events in the Timeline and clues or ideas you haven't used yet in Notes. Notes are never included in the Shareable Wiki, so you can publish your world without sharing your surprises.
Are there ready-made fields for a threat or creature?
The Creatures section comes with ready-made profile fields; with Field Templates you can add your own like 'Weakness' or 'Where it appeared'.

You can open a separate book for each story, or keep shared locations and characters in one book. The free plan has 2 books and 15 records per entity type.
