Where Pinterest shines
It's unbeatable for discovery: one search or a single image leads you to hundreds of similar ones. For catching a world's mood, finding faces and outfits for characters or setting the atmosphere of a place, boards are fast and fun.
Where it falls short for worldbuilding
Pinterest is an image collection, not a world record. A character's board has their face but not their age, backstory or family ties; you have to keep those somewhere else. The images belong to others and can disappear over time. And since boards can be public by default, they need care for a story you haven't announced yet.
How yazar.io solves this
In yazar.io you can add several images to any character, location or item record and reorder them; the first one becomes the main image shown on cards. Can I import my Pinterest board into yazar.io?
There's no direct import. Save the images you want to use to your device and upload them to the related records' image galleries.
How many images can I add to a record?
You can add several; your total image storage depends on your plan. The free plan includes 50 MB of image storage and Yazar Pro includes 2 GB.
Will my images appear in the wiki?
Only if you turn on that book's Shareable Wiki. While the wiki is off, your images are visible only to you.
