Will I write my novel in yazar.io?
No. You keep writing your novel in Word, Google Docs, or whatever writing app you already use - yazar.io isn't for writing the story itself, it's for organizing the world behind it.
yazar.io isn't a word processor
You won't find a text editor, page layout, or word counter in yazar.io - those already exist in Word or Google Docs, and there's no point competing with them. The goal here is different: keep the character, location, relationship, and rule information you need while writing your prose in one organized place.
You can save a link to your Word or Google Docs draft in the draft link field under Book Settings, so you can jump from your book's panel straight to your manuscript with one click - no switching between tools to find it, no copying or syncing required.
How the two work together
A typical flow looks like this: you save a character or location's profile in yazar.io first, then keep that page open in another tab while you write your novel, checking in whenever you need to. Forgot a character's eye color, or which organization they belong to? The answer is one search away instead of a scroll through your Word file.
Can I link my draft file in yazar.io?
Yes. You can save a link to your Word or Google Docs draft in Book Settings and reach it quickly from your book's panel.
Will yazar.io ever become a text editor?
Not for now - the focus stays on keeping the world behind your story organized. It's deliberately positioned as a lightweight companion that sits next to Word, not a heavy desktop writing or world-building tool.
