Is yazar.io free?
Yes. The Yazar plan is free forever (2 books, 15 entities per book per type, 50 MB of image storage). For higher limits, Yazar Pro is available with monthly or annual billing. The Author Card, where you can create a public author profile, stays free on both plans.
What does the free plan (Yazar) include?
No credit card is asked for at signup. On the Yazar plan you can create 2 books, add up to 15 records per entity type (characters, locations, organizations, and similar) in each book, and use 50 MB of image storage. Notes, Glossary, Timeline, Author Card, Family Tree, and export are included on both plans.
When do you need Yazar Pro?
Once your book count or per-type entity count approaches the Yazar plan's limit, Yazar Pro raises those limits substantially (protected by fair-use thresholds) and expands your image storage. Yazar Pro is purchased with monthly or annual billing from the Settings page through Paddle's secure checkout, and you can cancel anytime.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No, signing up and using the Yazar plan requires no credit card.
If I move from Yazar Pro back to the Yazar plan, are my books deleted?
No. Plan changes never automatically delete your existing books, characters, notes, or images. If you end up over the free plan's limits, you can still access and export your existing content; only creating new content may be restricted.
