Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes. You can start deleting your account from the Settings page. For your security, a confirmation link is sent to your email, and nothing is deleted until you confirm. Once confirmed, your account, books, characters, notes, and Author Card are permanently deleted.
Email-confirmed, two-step deletion
Clicking "Delete Account" on the Settings page doesn't delete your account right away - a confirmation link, valid for 1 hour, is sent to your email. Deletion only happens once you click that link and confirm one final time; this means that even if someone else gets into your account, they can't perform an irreversible deletion with a single click.
If you only want to delete one book
If you want to delete a single book rather than your whole account, use "Remove Book from Library" in Book Settings instead - the book moves instantly to Deleted Books, and you can restore it yourself for at least 30 days. You'll get a security notice email for that too; if you want to permanently delete it before that window ends, it also requires an email confirmation.
How long is the confirmation link valid?
1 hour - if it expires, you can start the process again from the Settings page.
If I delete my account, does my Author Card go too?
Yes - deleting your account permanently removes all your data, including your Author Card.
