Azrakh's imprisonment and Dede's wardenshipBelieving a malign spirit has slipped into Azrakh, the Dynasty uses the Soulrender: Sword on him; since there is no malign spirit inside him, Azrakh crosses into the Spirit Realm in his body. Dede too uses a Soulrender on himself, crosses into the Spirit Realm in his body and becomes Azrakh's warden (see Dede and Azrakh).

The break and Azrakh's escapeDede encounters the Lock Rune; because of what he goes through, he forgets everything and withdraws to a hidden corner of the Spirit Realm. Azrakh escapes the weakened prison; because he is there in his body, the Spirit Realm casts him out (see Dede and Azrakh).

Azrakh in hidingThis time Azrakh is experienced: so that he is not crushed while his head is still small, he does not show himself until he is fully strong.

Azrakh's armyThrough Azrakh, the malign spirits pour into the physical realm as his army; they enter people, animals, plants and fungi and corrupt their bodies.

The beginning of the Great CorruptionAzrakh and his army take the first city in the south. The king sets out to hunt Azrakh and calls the whole world to Silberne Terenefim: "This place is safe, and we have room enough for everyone." (see State of the World)
760–770
The destruction of the SoulrendersThe Dynasty comes to stop Azrakh. Gathering the spirits into his body, Azrakh turns into a larger creature; he destroys the members of the Dynasty who came and the seven Soulrender weapons (see The Bügdür Dynasty).
770
The king's pact and the closing of the gatesTo protect his city and his people, the king makes a pact with Azrakh; his captivity in Ryâdie begins. The gates close; from that day no Göçek is let in (see The Bügdür Dynasty).
